What david machiels doesn't like about L'arome:
Disapointing experience. Some very nice food and other courses very bland while wine pairing was very poor. Service can be seriously improved: wine not served prior to the courses nor refilled, no explanations for wine pairing…random volumes in glasses (and veru small quantities). Overall, a very mixed experience: some great food contrasted by poor service and average courses for premium price…we were expecting more... View all feedback.
What a pleasure! veal rice perfectly executed in a rushed entrance of excellent turrets there is a real chef in this restaurant! a sommelier of good advice for a glass course perfectly executed an efficient service while being discreet good I didn’t have the chef’s coucou but not serious ... I’ll be back!
I mean, it's worth the detour! The dishes and mixtures of flavor are to fall on the ground! everything in a very good atmosphere with a very friendly chef and a sommelier I recommend. silence, quality service! I found no false note, even the crumbs on the table are removed between each dish! Go there the eyes closed.
Came to eat for lunch. Well, a not crazy cheese burger at €18 is bad. You are lucky to be well located.
Kitchen not tested. Just to go to the WC, or indeed two red and green doors, are the perfect stylistic replica of the entrance doors of the Sprague Thomson metro trains from 1937, accompanied by beveled tiling very similar to those of the metro. By the way, the toilets are not free, you have to consume to go there.
Good address, good value for money. A classic brasserie. I recommend it. Lunch on March 4, 2024.
