Thursday the 13 of July near 7pm I was talking to a friend of mine not far from this bistrot. A woman with long pony tail, probably the waitress or the owner of La Pointe Saint-Eustache, came up to me, pulling a long face and asked me "are you the one who dined and dashed with your girlfriends two days ago?¨I was confused at first, then I tried to explain to her that it was not me. She insisted that she was right and gave me this contemptuous look the whole time she talked at me. At the end I told her that I could show her my ID and that was as far as I could think of as solution. The woman simply stormed away repeating "I am sure it was you.¨My husband and I went to the bistrot later and asked her again what made her think that it was me. The woman than admitted that she had no proof at all for her accusation but was reluctant to apologize.
Although service was slow our waiter was very friendly and our orders were all correct even with our poor French. My steak frites was cooked perfectly and they don't kill you with the prices. My one issue was that we were seated near a glass wall that blocked any sort of breeze so it was quite hot and sort of defeated the purpose of dining outside. All in all a good experience for just stumbling on a place to eat.
