What Jim J doesn't like about La Mascotte:
Oysters and sole were fine. Wait staff forgot about us several times even after reminding. Wine list varied but over priced for comparable Paris restaurants. When waiter came with the bill, he asked me to add a tip. I asked if service was already included? He looked at me funny. I then asked in French and he admitted it was. Do not fall for this trick. Our. Oat favourite restaurant in Paris. We always visit at least once when in town.
We had an incredible waiter who helped us choose our dishes. (We had the choice of tiredness) We shared a snail starter, my husband had the Risotto with shrimps and I had the sea Bream with vegetables and a glass of rose wine. It was delicious. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was also nice. It is a great little piece of history and everyone in the restaurant was friendly.
