My daughter heard of this place since the bakery is well known so we tried it on our last morning in Paris before heading to the airport. It was so good I wish I could have eaten there every morning. I had the best avocado toast I have ever had, The coffee was outstanding and they give you a biscuit with it that is to die for. We went next store to the bakery afterwards and picked up croissants and biscuits to take b... View all feedback.
What alanaparis doesn't like about Cuisine de Bar:
I wanna give ZERO point. Eventhough its bakery is famous, don't waste your money and time on Poilâne. It’s just famous by the tourist guide books. The service is terrible, no smiles. You’d feel like you are in the cantin. And you might see there are many rats. I wanted to throw up! View all feedback.
The special blue cheese soufflé for a starter was excellent. the sea bass with seasonal vegetables was also very beautiful. the court is not to miss is the pistazie/chocolate soufflé for the desert, it is great. the room is cozy and co-workers congenial. chef philippe is a soufflé assistant.
Was this restaurant around 20 years with different owner. Looks so familiar.
Small and fantastic! There were delicious souffles of all sorts with everything but we also had classic french dishes. Philippe came to say hello to everyone, a great evening. It was quite reasonably priced.
Great service and good food. sea bass was as good as I ever had. will come back
Perfect and I really mean it. each individual dish is perfect for taste to texture to season to temperature. I have always preferred Italian eating over French eating and this meal has changed me. the soufflé with lobster is to die. I wonder what her magic is that the soufflé keeps its shape for so long time and does not hold it at all on the side of the container. it's just great. the rindfleisch bourgogne is amazing. they added speck and mushroom to the dish, the smokey taste added and the umami to improve. it is magical that the beef keeps its shape and yet extremely delicate. it is tender enough that they can bite perpendicular to the fibers. I am absolutely stunned, how heavenly it is. also the sweet dish is perfect! each individual vegetables is cooked to its ideal texture. I think they cooked every bite individually. especially I love the little cake from green. this place is an absolute must for all who visit paris.
