We asked for a quiet table and were seated in the back of the restaurant, as the front was very crowded. The menu contained wonderful dishes including foie gras (if you like it, like I do! and other specialities from the south-west of France. The waiter was fast and friendly. What Michel Bernard doesn't like about Chez Papa Vavin:
This restaurant has nothing exceptional, but to recover on Paris without ruining, it remains a good alternative. Very fast service. Normal home. The south west kitchen is good without being refined. The dishes are (too)copyy on the other hand. What a pity is being exploited to the extreme and the furniture is so decayed. It's time to invest! Western Copious South Plats, a correct price and staff always listened and available. A very lively atmosphere with a young clientele. Some people find it too strong... but it's life!
Very good southwest kitchen!! Watch out for the Basque cake is better at paries...
Very good time spent with my colleagues a week night: delicious sangria, I loved the calf **** (a delight! and the waiter was very nice. Nothing to say again. If you want to chat quietly, ask for a table in the back of the restaurant
Kitchen not terrible, idem atmosphere and service. I'm not coming back.
Good restaurant with reasonable prices. We ordered the menu with a combo of entrée plat dessert for 28.90€ and it was generously served with good quality food. Our orders were Margret de canard au miel, burger vegie, salade de chèvre chaud et c'était bonne ! En plus, notre seurver était très accueillant ! Merci !
