The longustine and boeuf bouruignon were fantastic. my man ordered the steak, which rarely or indirectly rarely comes unfortunately medium rare was too rare for our lust, so as a fair warning if they do not enjoy her steak so, order something else. good service. all in all a great restaurant for French cuisine.
Great, great, classic spot. We loved getting away from tourist center, we loved a smaller more intimate restaurant. We were absolutely dying in the august heat but the food made it all worth it. Portions are large and we are big eaters, but would recommend the langostines to start, the beef bourguignon and the soufflé. Incredible.
This restaurant is an absolute MUST, especially if it is your first time in Paris. No worries about the language barrier, three of the waiters spoke English and helped translate. My boyfriend got the beef bourguignon, which was absolutely stellar. I got the Chateaubriand grillé, sauce bearnaise, which is a steak fillet with crispy potatoes and a side salad. It was amazing (especially dipping the potatoes into the beef bourguignon! . My only note is that you get your meat either rare or medium rare, and medium rare was definitely closer to rare than I normally like, but it was such good steak that I loved it regardless! For dessert we got the Gran Marnier souffle and the Millefeuille Jean-Louis, both of which were spectacular. The Millefeuille Jean-Louis is inds like a custard in between layers of really crispy, think wafer. It was great, definitely recommend. The souffle comes with a shot glass of Gran Marnier, and I wasn 't sure the purpose of it until the woman at the next table(who also spoke English told me to make an 'X ' in the middle of the souffle and pour the shot inside. It was extremely strong in the middle, so it 's best to mix it up a bit if you can! All in all, 5 stars. Would give it seven if I could! Definitely recommend!
This French restaurant was very good. We came to Paris to try the original versions of their best dishes and were not disappointed. The beef bourguignon was amazing and very filling. For dessert we went overboard and got both the millefeuille and the souffle which were both delicious. The service was great and the vibe was good. Very recommended!
