We visited Paris again last Fall with friends. They booked a charming hotel for all of us. Imagine our surprise when we arrived discovered the hotel was around the corner from our last visit and again, only 3 blocks from. Cafe Au Moka! The place is a real Parisian troquet located near the eiffel tower in the 15th. The atmosphere is very warm. musicians animate the evenings in weekends. food is excellent for modest prices.
We stopped for lunch, attracted by its classic Parisian coffee, a sign of safe value. and we did it well. the staff is nice and very pleasant. dishes are very good and for a more than reasonable price. Special mention for curry chicken skewers with its Indian rice: top!it's really the kind of place that makes the charm of betting.
This bar cum neighbourhood French food restaurant is a gem for those who want to experience the real French feel. And the great thing is: it is not far from the Eiffel Tower, but tourists wouldn't come here. The pub boasts a nice and varying selection of wines, some nice beers and expertly chosen music. Quite regularly, musicians turn up and have their gigs. The restaurant offers great French classics. Generous and excellent food. Definitely a must go. Even the staff seem to enjoy.
First night in Paris.. tired and knew we wanted to eat and turn in kinda early as we had an early day the next morning. Found Au Moka by accident and so happy.. food great.. duck confit and toasted ham & cheese sandwich with fries and wine. Prices fare and service great.. will be back!!!
We had the chance to dine in this bistro and the owner-barman is welcoming and smiling. They saw each other as close friends. full feed, servings for two or three. the rosé wine in barrel is very worthy.
