Wonderful seafood platters for a special occasion lunch or dinner. Nonstop service for those of us who like to eat a late lunch without being rushed through the experience.
Famous for its seafood cuisine. Beef is also excellent. Perfect location and very friendly staff !
What a wonderful experience! My husband and I wanted a late lunch/early dinner after some sight-seeing. Somehow we found this gem and made a reservation for 3:30 pm they were just setting up for dinner service as we were finishing our meal). Our waiter brought the menus, and I asked for one in English just to be safe. He was very kind and obliging. Later we would learn that he had a devilish sense of humor to boot. I ordered the Lorraine seafood platter. Every morsel was delicious, and I could not have eaten another bite. My husband ordered 6 oysters and the sole meunière. He was equally delighted with his food. We shared a bottle of Chablis, and found the prices to be reasonable. As for the humor, when the waiter brought our finger bowls, he said it was Chinese Soup. I later told him that the soup was delicious but difficult to eat with a fork. We got along just fine! Btw the inside of the restaurant is just beautiful. The walls make you feel like you're snorkeling in the most lovely waters.
We visited the place twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. In both cases, the food was average for Paris, with the exception of the machine-produced cappuccino. This was horrible. The service was abysmal. The appetizer arrived together with the main course. The desert and coffee arrived one hour after the end of the main course, and only after we complained. We thought the first time the bad service was due to shift change, but the second time we realized this was the standard practice of the establishment.
