What Cyrille CHEVALIER doesn't like about Bistrot Pop:
Come for a glass of beer and fruit juice for my son, the welcome was with a real indifference. The takeover dragged to the point that I got up to go to the bar asking for the map. The waiter was typing the chat with friends. I had to go back to the bar to order. After several minutes of waiting, the drinks are served. I had insisted well on the lemon logs for my white, knowing that it drinks so, and yet not served. I... View all feedback.
It's like a pass to the Republic. entrance mozzarella tomatoes quite disappointing in taste. Tomatoes have not seen the sun and mozzarella is very industrial. The chicken in sauce is passable despite a nice piece of net. heavy digestion of the sauce. Good vegetables. a vacuum kitchen probably. Smiling and friendly server (rare to betting)
We stayed very close to this bistro and found it on our first evening after arriving in Paris quite late. The decor and atmosphere is cool and relaxed. You feel very trendy and French just being here. As with most places in Paris there's tables out on the street where you can watch the world go by. I got the feeling this is a local spot rather than a tourist place. The service was fast and fuss free. There's a good menu both in terms of food and drink. We had a croque monsuier which came with fries, mozzarella sticks and fried fish pieces, again with French fries. It was all lovely, my favourite definitely being the fish. The batter was light and crisp and the fish inside was soft and tasty - imagine the best fish finger ever. The food arrived very quickly and was very fresh. This is great place to hang out, eat & drink!
Very pleasant bar with a beautiful terrace, pleasant atmosphere, good music, and especially very attractive prices for consumption.
I used to stop and enjoy at Cocoa Café. Bistrot Pop has succeeded to this popular spot and created a new attraction. Large terrace on avenue de La Republique. Red canopy you can't miss. Refined interior design, white walls, dark wooden furniture and bar, vintage stuff. Busy atmosphere with some DJ sessions. Friendly staff. Classic unpretentious bistro food, fish and chips, beef tartar, fries, Brooklyn beer. I like the place.
Well, not my first meal ever, but the first of our family trip this April (and first for my wife, daughter and twin boys). After the all night flight, we dropped our bags at our nearly hotel and wandered out for lunch. Found this gem and enjoyed a wonderfully delicious lunch that included steak tartare, saucisson (sausage), and more. The waitresses were delightfully friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better start to our Paris sojourn. Would go back in a heartbeat!
