Have stayed a couple of times at the hotel first time at the restaurant.I was surprised at how good it was.Tried the chicken which was very well prepared.Gravy was delicious.A mash which was very mousse like.Light and fluffy....Loved the "beurre salée ice cream.Open kitchen so was great to watch the cooks.Service friendly and efficient.There are a lot of choices in Montorgeuil but this place is worth the money. The restaurant inside this hotel is average. The only reason why I gave it a is because of one of the waiters, who appeared to be a team lead or head waiter. He was great! Our original waiter was far from that. We waited...for at least minutes for water and minutes for our complimentary bread. The service was poor. The food was okay. Bachaumont was probably the worst service I got in 10 years. The staff is okay (they are not verbally rude) but slow and will ignore you whenever they have a chance. In my case, I waited for 20 minutes with staff passing and ignoring me and my girlfriend. Also, we both found the place to be quite dark and the decoration simply was not okay
My fiancée and I were staying at the hotel and came to the restaurant early afternoon for a bite and some wine. The service was awful. The staff couldn't agree if the kitchen was open or closed, and if we could get something to eat or not. Sad to see such a cool place with such terrible service.

If you are visiting from outside Paris and want to dine in a well decorated restaurant with EXCELLENT food, charming staff and a BUZZING atmosphere- look no further. This is the place for you. I recommend the shoulder of lamb for two (you could feed four!) There are lots of diners in this establishment, but that is the price of success. The open kitchen provides more visual space so that diners do not feel cramped. The only draw back is that the bar across the entry hall is relatively small, yet I would not want them to enlarge and thereby draw even more people into the establishment.
Despite beying a hotel restaurant, the place is visited by many locals. Very lively and with a good vibe. We enjoyed the interior and the delicious dinner. Would deifnitely recommend.
