Alex (waiter and his team (hostess, chefs made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. Alex walked us through the menu, answered ALL of our questions, took photos for us, and was a totally cool guy the entire time. We'll definitely try to visit this spot again!!! Our party had three vegetarians who shared and enjoyed: Mashed potatoes Fries Green beans Souffles (cheese, chocolate, salted caramel, grand marnier order the dessert ones early!!! Tagliatelle with mushrooms
What a fabulous restaurant. The food is excellent, the ambience is warm and charming, and the service is outstanding. We had escargot, chateaubriand, coq au vin, souffle. Each dish was perfectly prepared. This was our favorite meal in Paris. They went over the menu with us in detail, and were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. Make a reservation, it seems quite popular with locals. Highly recommend.
The fact that the staff with the( what I could only assume was a) manager were behaving so different towards us compared to they French guests (almost all the other tables were French old clientele) is shocking. Not only openly staring at us with bad face like if we were a burden for them, we were spoken to like to idiots. The staff was smoking cigarettes In front of the restaurant so we had excellent view when we were eating our food with table next to the window. When we asked if we can order desserts a manager said she needs to check, she never came back to give any kind of information but when outside to join a group of male waiters on a cigarette break. We asked some other waiter and he said we can’t have dessert because kitchen closed. We finished our wine and before we left we noticed that after we were refused a dessert two different table ordered after us. My food in there was excellent tho. And although my food was great I would never advise for anyone to go there unless you are French or you don’t mind being treated like a piece of rubbish, not a paying guest. We watched the staff open the door for their guests, smile and joke when the they were leaving and when we payed no thank you, no goodbye and to speak about holding a door would be just funny. The only person who was nice enough to smile to us was a man behind the bar as he was facing me throughout my lunch, maybe saw how upset we got with my friend. Shocking!!!!
Delightful lunch. Kind staff with English options for us. Accommodated dietary restrictions without issue. Amazing fresh dishes but the dessert was the show stealer
The ultimate "Gastro pub" of Lyonnaise fare - old school French favorites at their finest! Hearty and generous, this is a Paris gem.
