What yuval14 dislikes about Au Rendez Vous- La Maison Du Couscous:
1. The fish had a charcoal flavor due the fact that they burned it. 2. The waiter service was poor and the waiter refuse to answer to common questions. 3. The waiter brought us a portion of meat that we did not ask for at all, and demanded that we pay for it. 4. Poor starter salads. 5. Highly cost. As summary, you can find better restaurants and even save money.

I came here with a friend who does have Tunisian family, so had a pretty good benchmark. I allowed him to order, and just let it come on. Being in a great mood and in great company probably helped, as the location is unfussy, and the service odd-ball to say the least. I can understand how it could come across as rude. I did get the impression that the mixed dishes which came as a starter, were somewhat recycled, but all very tasty and no hairs or other contamination. We went for a straight on cous cous with veggies and mixed meats which were very enjoyable. I was told that the whole point of the vegetable, is that they are laidened with juice to off-set the dry (and plain) cous cous. They worked a treat as an ensemble. The meat was perfectly grilled, and decent cuts too, not the gristly stuff you can get served in some places. A decent wine, some great N.African sweets and a couple of shots of Boukha Bokobsa Eau de Vie de Figue, all added up to a very enjoyable meal. WHat that added up to in I cannot say, as my hosts graciously footed the bill. As with all places, if you come looking for faults, you will surely find them. If you come to enjoy yourself, that's also possible in most establishments.
