Firstly the hotel: it is a very beautiful bui... read more Having spent one night in this hotel, had dinner and breakfast, I will try to be as clear and concise as possible. Firstly the hotel: it is a very beautiful building, well located on the edge of the main road. Inside it is very quiet. The reception is rather cold and very quick. It is also very cold in the corridors and in the rooms. The atmosphere is special. It almost feels like the movie The Shining. The room is very simplistic, the furnishings are aging. Not very warm. On the other hand, the bedding is pretty good. The TV works well. Bathroom clean but freezing. Secondly, dinner: the meal is overall unsatisfactory. The service is like the hotel quite cold. Amuse bouche (tapenade and homemade chips). Correct starter salad, the main course, andouillette with old-fashioned mustard, very hard to eat. Large pieces, very elastic, I think due to lack of cooking. Gratin dauphinois ok. My plate was largely chipped, which is a mistake in catering. End of the meal with a chocolate mousse that was pretty good but too stiff for my taste. Third the breakfast: perfect for me. Toasted bread, a pastries, good jams, fresh fruit juice, farm yoghurt and very good coffee. Overall I'm a little disappointed because I expected much better given the reviews and photos. Also, no one asked me what I thought of my stay... Afterwards, 95 euros for a dinner, a rather good night, and a breakfast, I think it's reasonable. For this I will still give 3 stars.
