There are numerous medio... read more I have lived in Italy for 4.5 years. I love Italian food, but sometimes it can be challenging to find a really GOOD Italian restaurant. There are numerous mediocre restaurants out there all doing the same thing. Moles is authentically Italian, but distilling down the best flavors to craft the best dishes. It is truly a hidden gem. Like literally, it’s hidden. The location was described by my friend who has lived in Naples for four years like this: “You know in a video game, when you are exploring the map for the first time and it’s gray then as you approach it clears up and you see the terrain? That’s exactly what traveling to Moles is doing for my mental map.” It’s a gem, because the food is incredible. I went one night. Immediately had an urge to go for a second night in a row, and then I hosted an office function for a third night within a week. It’s just that good My friend, a true foodie, went and following dinner, had an urge to return immediately. Only knock I had to give twas the service. They were down to one server for a full dining room, which he acknowledged was due to 4 servers down to 1 because of holidays/one waitress quit. So not entirely his fault, but have to be honest about the service received even if due to extenuating circumstance.
