The person from the Middle East was overcharging me, and when I pointed it out, he tried to argue with me. He was trying to charge me $7 extra. While $7 may not seem like much, it bothers me that they try to take advantage of Latino people. In the end, I managed to get back the amount he was trying to overcharge me.
They charge a fee for using your debit card for purchases inside, and another fee if you want to buy gas. It's absurd, and the customer service is terrible. Proceed with caution!
This experience was not indicative of what an ampm should be. I visited to grab some coffee and found napkins scattered everywhere and coffee spills, despite there being no customers in the store. Additionally, the coffee was stale. It felt more like a 7/11 than an ampm. They could learn a lot from the manager at the location on Flower and Downey, which is a true representation of what an ampm should look like. I stopped by again today, and the employee at the counter had a really poor attitude.
