What Jonathan Webb doesn't like about Chow At One Eighteen:
We had reservations at 7:30 for a birthday dinner for 2 people. By 8:30 they were rushing us out. Turning lights off, putting the salt and pepper shakers up, running the people on the patio off. Knats were also flying around our table. Steak was basic and not worth 54 dollars whatsoever. Waitresses were bragging about tips loudly where people could hear them. Drinks were decent. Cool atmosphere. Might try it down the... View all feedback.
Great service, decent food, a little Pricy and aesthetic was very strange.
My wife and I ate here with a group of friends and were very surprised at how amazing this place is! There were several statements made at the table that started with, This is the best...! My wife and I had the Asian Bamboo Steamer for an appetizer. It came with steamed dumplings that were stuffed with shrimp and pork egg rolls! Would definitely recommend this to anyone! Next, we split the Homemade Pappardelle Pasta and Black Tiger Shrimp. The homemade pasta was infused with sun-dried tomatoes! It was so good we had to let everyone at the table try a bite. Service and drinks were great, as well. We will definitely be back to try out different items from their weekly rotating menu!
Flat iron steak was tasteless, chewy, and had to have been warmed in the microwave. Spinach was overly salty and unappetizing. Waitress was nice but not a good server. Drinks took forever. My wine tasted like the bottle had been open for a few days. It took forever to get drinks/served. Overall just a really poor experience. Will not return.
Very stylish and professional place to have romantic or business type dinner, food varies from half exotic to fried grottos. to bring a date to bepress or your mom to be proud of her son or daughter. Micheal, who traveled Master Chef and International, doubled as owner, is a pleasure before the meal.
Service was good, I had the blood orange margarita and it was really good and balanced. Her cream brulee was grandiose and not icy, so they hit the mark. Her Mongolian beef was salty and heavy on the sauce, the rice underneath was very scarce.
