Gourmet magazine was spot on when it recommended Lon’s at Hermosa Inn. We celebrated a birthday there, and our group couldn't stop raving about the experience. The restaurant embodies an authentic Southwestern hacienda style, complete with canvas, Navajo carpets, and wooden beams that transport guests to the old Southwest. There's a spacious terrace for outdoor dining too. The chefs tend to their own gardens, crafting a menu that highlights seasonal ingredients. Our waiter also informed us that lemon, orange, and grapefruit trees surround the property, providing most of the fruits used in LON's dishes and cocktails. James Ducas leads the team and certainly deserves the accolades from our group!
My in-laws took us to this restaurant for a dinner with wine pairings, and we were thoroughly impressed. The chef was accommodating enough to substitute my mother-in-law's dish with something different, and the wine pairings were outstanding! We dined outside, and with the heaters provided, my halter top dress was perfectly comfortable. I highly recommend Lon's at the Hermosa to anyone who truly appreciates fine dining.
