We got pulled in off the street for the "happy hour" offered. We were told it was 2 for 1 Pisco sours but if we got food we would have 2 free Pisco sours. We chose the drinks as we were not hungry and agreed on 2 for 1. We then later chose to have the food and they bought out 1 free Pisco sour each which we questioned and they stayed 'it's free'. Very friendly service, prompt menus, "leeetle" English, but we communicated and were some enjoying some ice cold local beers. Menu looked interesting so decided some authentic Peruvian dishes should be sampled. Cerviche, seafood basket and seabass; delicious, tasty and filling and all washed down with a pisco sour. The place was so busy that it took an age to get our bill . We just went with the flow. Very enjoyable couple of hours.
Having given up trying to decide between the very similar options on offer at lunchtime along the Paracas seafront I went into this taberna and had ther S/. 18 menu, choosing ceviche followed by rice with seafood and a glass of chicha morada. The ceviche was good, served with a slice of potato and one of sweet potato, although there was a lot of onion. The rice was also tasty with plenty of seafood. Service was rapid and efficient and it was nice sitting and looking at the boats in the harbour.

Then come the bill and we got those Pisco sours for free but all our previous "2x1" were charged individually. We tried to compromise and were told the police would be called if we didn't pay the full bill. Don't get sucked in to these liars who just want your money!!!
The taverna is located a few meters from the fishing port. It is a good place for a drink at sunset. The food is rather ordinary, which is why I'm not grading it higher.
