Macho's - Paquera

Very nice and cool looking place with a fancy show of food. However, after eating at dozens and dozens of sodas and restaurants all across Costa Rica, this was our least favorite spot. Everything was overly priced for portion size and the flies were horrible (never had a sworm of flies on us while eating before this place). Salmon was dry, portions of seafood were small, meatless crab with no crab cracker/mallet. The mango smoothie was absolutely delicious.

Ordered three dishes and all were superb- Milanese Pollo, Chicken Burger, and Italian Burger. Wonderful creative tastes. Fries were good too. Beer cold. Prompt service, quiet even though right on the highway. Ordered desert too Two types of cheesecakes. Don’t know where I’ll put it!

We stopped here on our way from the ferry to Santa Teresa and it was so good! Lots of items on the menu, we got the quesadilla and they were delicious and a good price. The mango smoothie was also amazing, with mangos from the owners backyard. Will be stopping by again on our way back.

We ate here more than once and would happily return. Chicken and rice, pork ribs, and hamburgers all were excellent. The staff is friendly, the prices reasonable and the atmosphere is charming.There is a hand washing station at the entrance that you are required to use before entry. Staff wear masks, and the seating is open air.

Wow, such a nice restaurant on our way! We had the Aztec soup, chilly con carne and chicken and they were all delicious. The limonade was great too! The place looks neat and clean..
