A Birthday to Remember at The Windmill I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at The Windmill in Paphos, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like part of their own family. Their warmth and friendliness are truly unmatched. The hospitality was incredible—we were treated to wonderful complimentary drinks and food throughout the evening. They even surprised me with a slice of cake and ice cream complete with a candle, and the whole team sang Happy Birthday, which was such a heartfelt touch. The atmosphere was perfect, and the nesting swallows up in the eaves of the veranda, along with the company of a friendly Cypriot cat, was the absolute icing on the cake. As for the food itself? It was absolutely to die for! In fact, it was so delicious that I completely forgot to take photos of the dishes—I was too busy enjoying every bite. Instead, I’ve attached a snap of me raising a glass in thanks to the team. Thank you for making my milestone birthday so special. I am already looking forward to returning during the off-season to experience your wonderful hospitality once more. The second visit was with five family members, who all enjoyed their meals - some from the set menu, some a la carte. My partner and I had the fried halloumi again, and halfway through our meal, we were surprised with complimentary cocktails. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. Highly recommend the Windmill Restaurant for a fantastic evening with delicious food and attentive staff. We ate at the windmill on 30th July to celebrate our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary (we got married in Cyprus). From start to finish it was a fantastic experience, quick seam less booking with Nancy who came back to me straight away. Lovely welcome on arrival from Nancy's brother (sorry I didn't get his name) and to see that Nancy had decorated our chairs and table for us which was a lovely touch. The service was fantastic and even managed to deliver a drink that one of our guests had asked for that they didn't have within a very quick time! The food, well it is most probably the best food I've eaten for a very long time, the chocolate cake was AMAZING and our 11 year old daughter said it was the best she's ever had and she's eaten a lot of chocolate cake and the food was all cooked by Nancy's Mother and Father. If you go to Paphos make sure you visit this restaurant you will not be disappointed, 5 star service with 5 star food. Thank you to everyone at the Windmill for making our 10 Year Anniversary one to remember!
Attentive staff who guided me on the vegetarian options and I was more than delighted with the vegetarian platter. Ronan and Iain enjoyed their meat and fish dishes. Cost very reasonable and complimentary drinks as well. What's not to like. Our waiter is a triathlete which added a different dimension to our usual conversations with restaurant staff. If we have time we'll be back.
We had our wedding here on the 12th April, could not recommend this place enough, Nancy and her family are so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, will definitely be returning here when we come back to cyprus
