Salads and sandwiches made with produce from their garden, artisanal granita and blues music in a fairytale spot. Highly recommended.
We loved this place. The hosts are wonderful and the food was divine. The atmosphere was awesome, great music playing, great choice of drinks and again the food was wonderful Thankyou
We have been coming to Pantelleria since 2013 and not a day goes by, when we don 't go and stop for snack or a drink at Marai 's. The location is excellent, facing the lake Specchio di Venere, at the very heart of the island as the food is likely, not to speak of the musical background (very clever low volume selection of classic rock and blues)... Maria Grazia and Raimondo (their initials is where the name 'Marai ' comes from) are simply fantastic and so is their son Vincenzo. I strongly recommend a walking tour of the lake at sunset, followed by a stop over for an aperitif at Marai 's before dinner: a drink, sided by a plate of 'panelle ', or 'caponata '. And finally, a special mention to their absolutely unbeatable 'granite ' (suggested is that made of almonds). Grazie MAriagrazia, grazie RAimondo, thanks MARAI!
A charming place... informal and welcoming... the owner shows us the dish of the day not on the menu... baked aubergines accompanied by Ragusano cheese... delicious!... tranquility... good background music... friendly, polite and helpful staff... a truly pleasant lunch break... I recommend everyone to try this beautiful farm
A place of absolute relaxation on the lakeshore, where you can enjoy the shade and the typical flavors of the area. Maria Grazia and Raimondo are the custodians of an authentic and increasingly rare atmosphere, far removed from the sophisticated, exclusive, and impersonal outdoor dining options. They prepare fresh dishes on the spot (their panelle are a must-try), with great care and love for genuine hospitality. A piece of paradise for those who love simplicity and good things, not just food!
