My go-to Filipino take-out. Whenever I have cravings for Filipino food, this is the place I go! Why cook when you have a variety of dishes to pick from for a reasonable price. My regular choices, and always good, are: pinakbet, daing na bangus, kare-kare, pork adobo, pork binagoongan, pancit, pancit palabok, chicken adobo, pusit. Of course, ask for sabaw (soup) which comes with the combo meals. View all feedback.
What Bo Amon doesn't like about D J Bibingkahan:
I was excited to go back to DJ Bibingkahan in Panorama City coz it has been a while since I've been. But that excitement turned sour. Price has definitely increased to $15.88 for a 2-item combo (which is fine coz a lot of establishments have done that since the pandemic) but the food they give has decreased in amount (see photo). So that's why only 1 star for food. It was lunch but there was only one table of 4 peopl... View all feedback.
I came to breakfast this morning and ordered two items. The food here is overpriced and the quality is garbage. I spent more than $20 on 2 pieces Chicharon Bulaklak (which tasted older than the cashier) and a bowl of carecars (with only one meat) and tasted with 2 cups of rice. Everyone who eats regularly knows that this is a demolition! It is better to go to Bamboo Bistro nearby and eat everything you can for the same price.
I ordered a plate with pancite noodles, lechón and 3 pieces of sausage. This was $16.00, but the worse part was the noodles where bad / spoiled, the Lechón was cold and dry, the only thing that was ok was the sausage/Chorizo, but I got only 3 small pieces. 1st and last time I go there. I was so disappointed.
Happy to know that this Filipino restaurant is back in operation, as usual after the pandemic. We were told about the phone that we showed evidence of vaccinations per LA country mandate. But nobody took care of it. The line in the seat arrangement is a good distance from one another. Food quality and selection are about the same as before. Prices are particularly expensive.
Lunch tastes like food from the day before. Worst time to go is towards the end of the day because food sits on the serving line all day. Also quite greasy. Look for better alternative
I carried out 2 dishes from this location. Upon reaching home, I opened one and it stank. Had my sister check the food and she confirmed it is spoiled. Please, DJ, throw away food that is nearing spoilage or spoiled! No wonder my stomach felt funny. We are not going back here!
