I stopped by tonight just before closing time and got a 3-meat plate to-go. I was a fan of the ribs and brisket. They both had a nice flavor and were tender. However, the pulled pork made me wish I had gotten a 2-meat plate. It tasted like pork...just pork. I expected at least a hint of smoke, but it was just bland. I stopped by tonight just before closing time and got a 3-meat plate to-go. I was a fan of the ribs and brisket. They both had a nice flavor and were tender. However, the pulled pork made me wish I had gotten a 2-meat plate. It tasted like pork...just pork. I expected at least a hint of smoke, but it was just bland. For my side, I got the cowboy beans upon the recommendation of the employee who took my order. These were absolutely the best part of my meal and were certainly some of the best I've had.
Oh my gosh! Little family business that makes their grandmas recipes. Amazing BBQ food. Best ribs beans and potato salad I ever had. A little restaurant in a gas station! It was so worth the stop. Very good prices also. A hidden gem!
We stopped in for fuel, and left with a full tank and full belly of the best brisket I have ever sunk my teeth in to. This is a little mom and pop set up inside the gas station, and they offer ribs, pulled pork, brisket (that the crew informed me had been on the smoker since 6 a.m. , and 3 delicious sides that the staff was happy to let me sample. The creative set up, fun staff, and delicious food will bring me back every time I am in the area. They also offered real fruit smoothies in another section of the station that are well worth trying if you have any room left.
