I ordered the grouper with roasted potatoes and coleslaw. There was a 30-minute wait for the food, as they were quite busy when we placed our order. The dinner was served hot, and the fish was well-portioned and very tasty. However, the potatoes were a bit too dark—almost burnt—and only some of them were acceptable. What Mary Traveler doesn't like about Sandbar Seafood Bbq Joint:
Not as good as I remember 6 years ago. Ordered 1 pound of scallops ala carte. I'm not saying that 10 scallops is not a pound, but just seemed small for $35.00! Gumbo was good, but too salty. Greek salad good, but needs a bigger bowl or plate to allow for cutting and mixing. Service was fine! View all feedback.
Absolutely the BEST!!! We've been here for 10 days, that's the best part of the restaurants we tried. Definitely recommend!
Great neighborhood bar/restaurant. From appetizers to baskets to full dinners. Several TV's to watch sporting events. Our server (Patience) was great. We're not from the area, if we lived here, we would definitely come back.
Had a great time. On the way out of town and stopped by looking for that last place to have a sun drenched cocktail. Planned on just one but had more after the great conversation and service that Heather provided. She is top shelf. Unfortunately we had to leave and head back to Georgia. Look forward to heading back to Sandbar next time and chatting with Heather.
As usual it was a great experience. Gerald is the best bar manager around.
This place has excellent seafood and service. This was our second trip here in the last month and it was just as good as the first one. We will definitely be back!
