The The Mumbai Canteen, has got delicious vegetarian snacks from the streets of Mumbai to Goa. The small cafe located in the heart of Panjim is famous for its Masala Chai(Tea) and yummy snacks. From chaat and kanda poha to cheese pav bhaji, the place does full justice to Mumbai snacks. And the best part is that it is a pure veg cafe and it will amaze to see so many tasty options in veg food. Here's a sneak peek for you! They are also very quick in their service.
Have tried 3 different chaats... Loved the taste as well as the way it was served.... Delicious to the eyes and tastebuds... Quick and great service in store as well as delivery... Also, the best masala tea I have tasted in Goa so far!!
Ambience -1/5<br/ Taste-3. 5/5<br/ Presentation-4/5<br/ Overall 4/5<br/ So I was hungry and I happened to go this place. It has various long list of options.. However I had cravings for dabeli.. And it was of justifiable taste to money I paid.<br/ <br/ Next I ordered is schezwan cheese sandwich which was okay because there were not much veggies in it, only potato n onion, certainly couldn't feel the Taste of schezwan, however the amount of cheese was like yummmmmmmhhhhhhh...<br/ <br/ Earlier to this I had ordered veg momos from the same store and they were pretty good<br/ <br/ More to try with this restaurant, however if u are in panjim and want to grab some snacks.. This would be the best restaurant.<br/ <br/ Please note sitting capacity is very less hence prefer carry out or order from swiggy<br/ <br/ Landmark for reaching here would be vishal mega mart.
This place serves variety of Indian snacks at reasonable prices. Tried their dabeli grilled cheese sandwich, Tawa pav bhaji and masala Chai. Dabeli cheese sandwich stole my heart at first the bite. It was perfectly soft in the inside and crisp on the outside. Filled with smashed potatoes, chutney, pomegranate, peanuts, shev and more, this was a heart stealer. Tawa pav bhaji and Chai was also quite good. It a small place and can't accommodate much people but the staff is really friendly and kind towards the customers. Highly recommend dabeli cheese sandwich
When in Goa, I really miss the street food in Mumbai they are such guilty pleasures! On my visit to Mumbai Canteen in Panjim, I tried 3 4 of their items namely:<br/ Vada Pao because a place selling Mumbai street food HAS to excel at the quintessential Vada Pao! Safe to say, it was not only as good as the one in Mumbai, but even better thanks to the wonderfully toasted pav.<br/ Aloo Bomb A Mumbai Canteen signature dish (and not really Mumbai street food), this was my favourite of all that I tried. A boiled potato scooped out and stuffed with onions, tomato, chutneys, cheese and topped with sev! Super delicious, especially if you love potatoes and cheese like I do.<br/ Mumbai Canteen Special Sandwich Super heavy, this is a meal in itself. Its so filling that you will definitely have to share. A massive 3 layer sandwich filled with veggies, cheese and french fries! So satisfying!<br/ <br/ Lastly, their Masala Chai is a MUST HAVE for chai lovers! A perfect mix of spices, piping hot and just enough milk and sugar!<br/ Mumbai Canteen is a small eatery that can accommodate 6 8 people, but the food is hygienic, affordable and just perfect for those mid day cravings, evening snacks or late night binge. Definitely returning to try more from the extensive menu.
