So I'd made a visit here as per the advice of old timers who swore by the food. It's old in Godinho and feels comfy. But the service was slow, so slow. We'd ordered Roast Beef (and boy was it good), the poi fresh and the beer cold. I've got to make another trip there for sure. View all feedback.
The food here is scrumptious and fingerlicking...the best restaurant in panjim. The hospitality is also very comforting.
This place is one of the traditional old school goan restaurant which serves brilliant authentic goan food. You will get a Portuguese feel when you enter this restaurant. This place serves fish in stuffed reachhad masala. Also the traditional beef pork dishes here are to die for. Even if you are not well versed with goan names, you can try the simple prawn curry rice and won't be disappointed. However, just like any authentic goan food restaurant in Goa, every order you place will atleast take 25-30 mins before it reaches your table. Trust me guys, it's worth the wait while just sipping some chilled beer!
Pork chops and Cherizo pulav are one of the best in Panjim. If you're looking for a non fancy, old school ambience ad environment with authentic Goan cuisine compelling rates.. this is the place to be and eat.
Looking for a typical old Goan Bar and Restaurant in Panaji go to Godinho's. Basic and no frills friendly service with food that you can't go wrong with. The Beef, Pork, Fish all are excellent day's fresh catch. Suggested Squid Rechado and Goan Sausage Fry as starters with the drinks. Followed by a choice of Kingfish Masala Fry, Bangda (Mackerel) Rawa Fry, Prawn Balchao, Chilly Beef and, of course, Pork Vindaloo (specify spice level). Try with the local Poee or Poi (Bread). Wrap it up with Rice and Fish Curry.
Best places to have goan food. Everything we ordered was perfect with distinct flavours to each dish. We tried the goan style chicken curry, sausage pulav and their beef chilly fry. The sausage pulav is a must try and the beef chilly was one of the best we had in Goa.
