Meshico - Palos Heights

Stopped in Saturday after walking around lake Katherine. Few hours before closing time. Ordered our food and our server was so incredibly nice! Not the fake nice you can tell when its not genuine..anyways i had got the chimichanga and there was no option for steak instead of the chicken. I had asked if it was ok if i could switch the chicken and without hesitation she was happy to do so. Usually if its not on the menu places dont like to switch out (i’ll gladly pay the extra). We had gotten our food and there was your hot sauce but i was hoping they had some HOT stuff. So i asked if they had hotter hot sauce. She immediately said “Yeah of course!”. We had looked at each other and said wow she’s super nice! She had grabbed the hot sauce and had given it to me and checked up on us after a few minutes to make sure everything was good. With resounding yes’s around the table! We were finished eating and we had got lost in conversation and it was close to closing time and we had got up to leave. As we were getting ready to leave; the staff was eating together (guessing friends or family) all said thank you and have a good night! Very shortly after the cook peaked his head out above the kitchen counter and had also said have a good night and thanked us. That has been by far the BEST experience EVER..what a genuinely kind staff; seriously wow. Thank you all. I promise to be back and will make sure to let others know. Wish you all endless success

There are very few good spots for Mexican food in the Palos/Orland area that aren't major chains. Meshico has really good prices for really good food. The presentation of the food is very well done, and the tacos are great too! My biggest critique is that the nachos get really soggy if you order for delivery. This doesn't take away from the rest of the dish, as its all very good, but you'll have to eat with a fork. The tacos are tasty, creative, and much better than most of the restaurants in the area. It's becoming a family favorite for us.

The chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce was delicious! My wife really enjoyed the veggie burrito as well.

From a Mexican family with a picky mother. The food was good, the staff friendly and a clean business. We all cleared our plates and my mother was pleased.
