Our first visit after picking up family from midway airport. Great atmosphere, wonderful and helpful wait staff. Food was masterpiece, they must be hiding some babcias (Polish grandmas) back there because you could taste the care and history in the food. I play this game before the check comes, to see if I can guess it. It was honestly almost half of what thought it was going to be. Such quality and quality, I just f... View all feedback.
What Denise Popp doesn't like about Highlander House Restaurant Bar:
The worst experience of our lives. My mom.ans uncle ordered potato pancakes and my moms were fine but my uncles were not cooked and raw. I ordered the baked potato pancakes and it came with three small ones and one was completely burnt and tasted awful. We told the waiter and he took my uncles in the back and then came back out and said that he tasted them and they were cooked and that's how they cook them in Poland.... View all feedback.
10/10 recommend!!! I found this place just by Google search and my fiancé, who is Polish, had never been here so we decided to try it. From when we walked in we just loved it. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff is super friendly, and the food is AMAZING! We ordered the Placek po Zbójnicku and Polski Talerz, both were so delicious; the potato pancake was perfectly crispy and seasoned, pierogis were super fluffy and melt-in-your mouth delicious, and the beef goulash was packed with flavor!! I could go on but you will just need to try for yourself. Next time we visit the area we will definitely be back. I've been trying to get my wife to go here, but have been unsuccessful due to her dislike of Polish food. She loved it. Myself, being Bohemian thought it was fantastic. Highly recommend.
This was our 2nd visit to Highlander. The 1st time we had a great young man as our server and he did an outstanding job. We returned because their perogis are so good and they have a good beverage selection. The food was still very good, but our server clearly was new and had no business serving on her own. She was very young and could not remember to do more than one thing at a time. Our drinks were not refilled because she forgot. We will still return but request a veteran server.
My first time at a Polish restaurant and didn’t entirely know what to expect I was incredibly satisfied! The portions were generous. There was a lot of care and attention given to simple but flavorful dishes. Soups were freshly made. Our group ended up sharing off one another’s plates to try everything. The polish sausage was amazing. The meatballs were also great. The Pierogis were delicious. Everything was made fresh and from the looks of it, most of its is crafted in house. We will be back. Parking: Parking up front is a little tight, but there is a nice lot in the back with easy access to the building. The lot gets pretty full on weekends and evenings.
