The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with generous portions and reasonable prices. I highly recommend trying the chicken vindaloo. For a more authentic experience, head to the upstairs restaurant, which has a completely different atmosphere than the slightly casual feel of the downstairs area. The bartender, Ragu, is a friendly and helpful guy who will assist you with anything you need. View all feedback.

The UTI restaurant is conveniently located behind my accommodations on Ourem Road. However, it seems to lack consistent standards in terms of food quality, service, and overall cleanliness. The experience can vary based on the staff's mood. I can only speak of the positive experiences I've had, such as enjoying delicious Goan food like fish curry and rice, seafood platters, and beer. The dishes were good but nothing special. The service was not very dynamic and the cleanliness left something to be desired. The atmosphere was a bit dull but we were there at the beginning of the season.
UTI moved to The Palolem Guest House, previously it was further down the road and in a lovely setting had great food and ambiance. We went there today, the tablecloths id not look as if they had been washed for weeks and the floor was dirty. The old UTI was a great place to go - the new one appears dreadful. Bad move methinks.
Being a hotel owner its a big complement i give this place they have a great food options with nice pricing range cocktail too are really great.Great choice of food at a very reasonable price. Staff are attentive. You will not regret to go there, its a very good experience.
The food in UTI is great, especially the coctailes there are one of the best in whole of Palolem area (price/quality). The service is very good, the waiters are very alert and so the service is nearly perfect. You will not regret to go there, its a very good experience.
Used to swear by this one but in Novemeber we had a very poor breakfast there just saved by the evening meal. In January the evening meal was indifferent. Really can not reccommend it any more. Next season it is moving sites to the Palolem Inn so lets hope the maove reinvigorates the cooking. Might give it another try but not sure.
