We have tried a few other burger places in Palo Alto and surrounding area and are always disappointed they aren't Wahlburgers. This place is our go to now for burgers. The prices, serving sizes and options are perfect. The house made pickles and sauces are the best. Wahlburgers doesn't disappoint. Go here! View all feedback.
What Lowell Johnson doesn't like about Wahlburgers:
The beer, a Sculpin IPA, was good. The burger was barely warm and medium-sized with okay flavor. The fries and onion rings were cold, so I sent the fries back. The replacement fries were only slightly warm. I saw Rosottis on the way here and it seemed very busy with lots of cars in the parking lot. I wish I had stayed there instead. View all feedback.
Cool burger chain. great burgers and sides. i got the our burger (standard cheeseburger), parmesan truffle tots, and thin crispy onion rings. excellent for satisfying your burger fried food craving. also got the chocolate mint milkshake which was a slight disappointment, it had too strong of the green mint syrup taste.
Didn't know there was one close to me (Palo Alto) had my 1st Wahlburgers at Sunset Blvd in LA. Awesome burgers, loved the sweet potato tots n onion rings
Crunchy, juicy and perfect size burger. Also ordered sweet potato tarts and mocha shack. Everything was on mark.
Wahlburgers isn't even a restuarant of craving anymore, it's just an existing option within the downtown Palo Alto area as a potential, last resort option to save some money. The quality of the burger is different and the special sauce isn't exactly comparable to In N Out famously. Therefore, I would recommend other menu options like the all beef pearl hot dog or the grilled cheese sandwich. If I'm in the area and don't necessarily have the funds to splurge on a meal that will likely pinch me, this is one of the few spots that just screams mediocre.
We should have realized there was a problem when we walked in and the place was empty. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was burnt. One fillet was so burnt it was inedible. I also got the fried pickles which were also super burnt to the point that the pickles practically disintegrated. The shoestring onion rings were pretty good though. The restaurant itself was dirty, the floor was so sticky that my shoe actually came off my foot. I spent my meal staring out the window wishing I'd gone to the Sushi place across the street. So disappointed
