It was my first time at Taro San, I got the Nikh Udon with beef. The plate is decent but I definitely recommend to ask for their spices to make the dish super tasty. I look forward for future visits to try different dishes. View all feedback.
The bento is a pretty good value. For $16, you got decent quality Unagi, really good chicken karage (not the traditional kind). The udon use very Al dente. The flavor is ok. Had better.
The wait was a little long but once we got seated the service was excellent. The wait staff were all friendly, and they ran around just trying to keep up with the constant crush of people coming in. The food was great. We started with a complimentary stir fried edamame (for the wait) and that was really tasty. The brussel sprouts that came next was also well executed, good flavor and perfectly cooked. We ordered the Tori Udon which is one of the chef's recommendations, and we were not disappointed. Very flavorful soup stock served piping hot. The fresh handmade Udon was very chewy. The mochi donut holes were also on the house because they felt bad about the wait, so overall I feel like they are really trying hard and doing their best by the customers. Will come back again and try their other flavors.
This was my first time. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was great! We enjoyed everything we ate. The ordering is done on iPads which I liked a lot. Would definitely come here again.

Really good. Price is reasonable. Staff extremely friendly. I'm really picky about Japanese food being Japanese myself. So I give it 4.5 stars but I can't do a half a star.
