I recently had an outdoor reservation for 8 people and needed to eat quickly in order to make it to an event at Stanford. I knew the food would be delicious but was so impressed by the service. Trying to feed a group of 8 that turned into 10 and only had an hour to eat was handled so well. Now Delfina will be my go to place for big groups. Everyone left happy and well-fed. What User doesn't like about Pizzeria Delfina Palo Alto:
One pizza was way too salty, the other too bland. The servers meant well but they were kind of slow, clueless, and ignored us for large periods of time. The ambiance is vey nice, though, on both the inside and outside. View all feedback.
Overall, great people and service, food over rated .. pizza was below par ; had higher expectations.. probably wouldn’t go back Staff were great
I love this place. Pizzas are delicious, tiramisu my fav. And it has got such a cozy, beautiful outdoor dining space too.
Not quite sure why when I selected “indoor seating” on Open Table I was shown to an outside seat when we arrived (restaurant was almost empty as well). When I explained to the hostess that I had requested indoor seating, she asked if I had done this on Open Table and they often don’t see these requests?? Not sure how every one else is reserving a table at their restaurant? Seems like the only option online is Open Table. I book reservations on this all the time and never have this problem anywhere else. Seems like there is ALWAYS some issue with the hostess and seating at this restaurant. Frustrating.
I reserved this place for a business dinner. We had a person from NYC and it was amazing for her and everyone else.
Strozzapreti with duck Raghu were so oily and heavy, I had really hard time to digest it Cauliflower side dish was mostly capers and oil with few cauliflower were present
