We arrived early in the evening as several conferences/meetings were underway. Limited menu, but all well prepared. Wine/Cocktails took a while as the bar was in another building at the other end of the pool. The waiter was friendly and cordial throughout our service. Although there are several restaurants nearby, this is a very good option. Would recommend. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Patio Cafe At Sheraton Palo Alto:
Overall, the service was pleasant, but considering what we spent for my mom's birthday, it just wasn't worth it. We won't be going back. My dad's skirt steak was tough, and my mom's ham was overly salty. Paying $10.00 for a kid's pizza didn't seem justified either. View all feedback.
The staff was incredible. My family stayed here because one of our members was admitted to Stanford Hospital. The hotel was very accommodating given our unpredictable schedule. The pricing was quite reasonable for the location. I would definitely recommend this place. Rooms: 5/5
This hotel is fantastic, especially for those visiting Stanford, thanks to its excellent location. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the "Village" strip mall, where you'll find a variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel features a heated outdoor pool, and the rooms are spacious with a small balcony. However, it's worth noting that there is no free parking available for rental vehicles, and guests cannot park if they have visitors. From the hotel, you can easily stroll through the Stanford campus or take a walk into Palo Alto to enjoy even more shopping and dining options.
On the positive side, the hotel had a pleasant pool area, a decent breakfast, and offered EV charging. However, the overall feel of the hotel was outdated, with rooms that seemed to be stuck in the 1980s, and I found the additional parking fee to be excessive. The biggest letdown was the Wi-Fi; it was practically unusable, which was surprising given the hotel's location in Silicon Valley. Although Ethernet cables were provided, the lack of an adapter for modern laptops rendered them nearly worthless. In summary, this hotel may be suitable for a tech-free escape, but the problems with check-in, outdated rooms, high parking fees, and poor Wi-Fi make it difficult to recommend—especially for business travelers.
Where to begin. The Staff: Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, quick. The Location: I was there for business, and it was a 5-minute walk to my appointment; zero complaints. The Room: I was given an upgraded room (Gold for Life) that was decent in size with a nice balcony.I rated the rooms a bit lower because my shower door didn 't keep water in the shower and flooded the bathroom floor. Placement of the toilet made it a tight squeeze for this middle linebacker sized guy. The balcony was nice but faced a busy street so I didn 't use it. Bed was comfy, chairs were nice, side tables had charging plugs, and the room was laid out well.My biggest complaint was the 1800 steps it took to get to my room. I was told to park in the back and walk in the side door. I would go up one flight of stairs and my room was just inside the door. Problem... the key mechanism in the stairwell was broken on floor two. I went back to floor one and wandered through the ever changing hallway of hell that reminded me of the shining as it continued to get longer and further away. After what felt like an hour I found the elevator and stopped to eat a brief snack and drink some water before venturing on to the second floor where I would repeat this maze of mystery in reverse before finally finding my room. Upon locating my room I was relieved to learn that it was just inside the stairwell door.On my journey I met some Hobbits trying to return a ring, a bald guy who kept shushing me while he was hunting rabbits , and twin girls who kept beckoning me down the wrong hallways.Once safely in my room I ordered room service which arrived promptly and tasted great. I recommend the ahi tuna bowl.I finished some work and quickly slipped off to sleep.Yes, I 'd stay here again. Next time I 'll make sure to pack an extra bottle of water and some biscuits for the trek.
All of the staff I encountered was very kind and professional. I had 2 rooms and requested adjoining rooms, and due to unforseen events, they were unable to complete this request, but they did put me nearby in an upgraded beautiful room. The staff really took my breath away with this kind gesture on this special trip. I can not thank them enough. My check-in agent was amazing. I do not remember her name. I also received an email from Lizbeth letting me know of the changes to my room, which was very kind. I will be staying here again if I ever travel to this area. Thank you, Sheraton Palo Alto!
