Orens Hummus Express - Palo Alto

I recently had a disappointing experience at Oren's. The prices have risen to $16 for individual portions of dark meat chicken and hummus, which feels quite steep. The staff was unprofessional and confused my simple order of chicken, hummus, and pita. Moreover, they miscalculated my bill, and when I requested a correction, they informed me it would take another 20 minutes to heat the precooked chicken. This was particularly frustrating since there was only one other customer in the restaurant at the time. This marks the third time my bowl has been messed up, and it's clear that their quality has declined. What used to be a reliable spot now resembles fast food, but at much higher prices. I can no longer recommend Oren's to friends and will definitely be reconsidering their catering services in Stanford.

Our meal was decent. The flavors were good, but considering the price we paid—though it wasn't extremely high—the quality didn't quite meet our expectations. I ordered the chicken pita sandwich, but the chicken was overcooked and tough. My wife had a falafel bowl that mostly consisted of rice and contained only 4-5 tiny falafel balls. We had previously enjoyed catering from Oren’s, which was excellent, but this experience felt underwhelming in comparison.

I went for lunch and was expecting it to be busy, but fortunately, it wasn’t. The fries were the highlight of the meal—absolutely delicious. The person who took my order was incredibly nice and helpful. I will definitely come back. Thank you!

This is simply the best hummus and food in general that I had in a long time. The pita that came with the hummus was fresh and the perfect amount of gum. After I thought that the meal could not get better, I tried the cabbage that came with him and was pleasantly surprised. I wish they had them where I live. I recommend 100%.

Food is good, hot sauce is great, but they don't provide free water and want you to buy a bottle. It's a ridiculous practice. Won't be back. Their other location provides water. I guess I'll go there. [update] happy to hear from the team responding. Updating star for listening to customers.
