However, they put crouto... read more The restaurant itself and the staff are welcoming. The food was not very good. I ordered the French onion soup, the soup was excellent. However, they put croutons in there that broke down and gave the soup a gritty stale flavor. Why not take the extra step and put a decent crouton in otherwise excellent soup? Next I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, cooked medium well. The bacon was so rubbery it was barely cooked. The burger was charred with black stuff on it on the outside but bright red on the inside. The fries had a coating on them that I just wasn?t a fan of. The one good item that I ordered was the fried mozzarella. That was flavorful and was served with a tasty sauce. I wanted to like this place but the most of the food was not good. I will not return when we are in the area.

This place was a sports bar/restaurant type place that smelled of stale beer. It has potential...It was fairly nice. The food was very tasty but very expensive for what you got. Normally I would give it a four star just because of the smell and me having to wipe the crumbs off of my seat before sitting down. I always run off the premise that if they can 't take care of basic cleaning where customers can see like tables and restrooms, what happens in the kitchen!?? Anyway I dinged them an extra star because of them not being sufficiently accommodative to people with food restrictions. I 'm a brittle diabetic that doesn 't respond to medications and cannot eat sugar or carbs and have to eat a very low carb diet. Even if it was a personal weight loss diet like keto/carnivore choice, it shouldn 't matter. A good restaurant will allow me to just order hamburger patties, eggs or bacon a ' la carte. Here they insisted on me ordering the hamburger meal and wanted to charge over $6 for an extra patty. I would 've ordered two patties even at that price if i could have. I went ahead and ordered just the bacon cheeseburger without the bun and at least let me substitute the fries for a few asparagus. The meal came and I didn 't get any bacon on my bacon cheeseburger. The patty was good but nowhere near a $6 patty. We also ordered garlic parmesan wings. They were very good and premium size wings. The sauce was delicious but I 'm afraid suspiciously sweet. So in a nut shell. Overpriced, underwhelmed, and left hungry with over a $65 bill for two people (not including tips or any alcoholic drinks). I would suggest to management that they take a look at their operation and tighten up on disinfecting and bussing protocols, as well as, taking a look at offering some low carb meals or a ' la carte menu choices that would help the over 50% of the us population who have diabetes, pre-diabetes and other Metabolic health issues. This is OVER half of your customer base! We shouldn 't have to pay for buns, bread, fries etc when we aren 't eating them. You aren 't losing any money AND might actually get repeat business if you treat your patrons honestly. Yes I know loading up your food with sugar makes it taste wonderful and bulked up meals with cheap carbs helps your bottom line, But people are starting to wisen up and that old shtick is fading away. You can either be a leader or another empty for-lease building in a few years!

I had the baked tomato skirt, grilled cheese with chips. Husband had perogies and criminals. I want the recipe for baked tomatoes Crock (holy sh$t it was delicious, lick the bowl clean, yummy). Let's just say we loved it so much that we came back to dinner. I have the fish tacos (server, recommendation. Could no longer agree), marshmallow martini (see photo). Husband has the Ruben, we share the Macn cheese, took to the hotel the chocolate peanut butter cake made in the house. Yeah, we ate everything. Take us to the hotel. Husband said the Ruben was one of the best he ever had. Mac n cheese super creamy and delicious. Perfect proposal from the server to the fish tacos they were great. I wish we lived closer. Place is wonderful.

The mac and cheese made with Vermont white chedda... read more As I walked in and spotted a sign for bingo, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I’m glad I chose Funck's. The mac and cheese made with Vermont white cheddar, along with the Brussels sprouts and generous pieces of thick ham, were absolutely delicious. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary tiki glass with my tropical drink. The service was outstanding, and all in all, it was a fantastic experience. I truly loved it!

We prefer to sit in the bar area because we enjoy the atmosphere there. The service is usually quite good, and the food is absolutely fantastic. They also offer a wide range of beers, including the option to create your own beer flight. During our most recent visit for Oktoberfest, the pierogies were cooked to perfection, featuring a crispy exterior and a delightful soft interior. The Bavarian pretzel truly hit the spot and satisfied my pretzel cravings. The bratwurst, butternut squash soup, and sauerkraut were all delicious as well. Funck's is an excellent place to enjoy a meal, have some drinks, and relax.
