**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**
This restaurant exudes charm with its pretty decor and cleanliness, yet patrons have noted a troubling issue with flies that detracts from the dining experience. Although some items, like charro beans, receive high praise, several dishes, such as enchiladas suizas and milanesa de carne, have disappointed diners with subpar flavors and textures. On a positive note, many guests appreciate the value and authenticity of the Mexican cuisine, especially during busy lunch hours. While the service is generally attentive, the inconsistency in food quality raises questions about a return visit. A focus on improving certain dishes and fly control could elevate this eatery.

Highly recommended and delicious restaurant, with fantastic food, impeccable cleanliness, and friendly service.
My family and I decided to order from this restaurant because it was previously family-owned and had high standards. However, since new management took over, the quality of food and service has declined significantly. I ordered a dish with barbacoa, eggs, potatoes, beans, and a cup of menudo, and I was extremely disappointed. The barbacoa tasted old, the potatoes were hard, and the beans were watery. The only fresh item on my plate was the egg, likely because it had to be prepared to order. My children shared another dish with pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The pancakes and eggs were decent, but the bacon was terrible. My wife ordered chilaquiles, which were also just okay. As a food critic, I have never experienced such poor quality food. I expected better from this place. Ultimately, I returned my plate and got a refund. The bacon was particularly bad, as shown in the picture below. The molcas bacon was better than the strips bacon. Overall, I urge this restaurant to return to its previous high standards.
Eating was very delicious, the server were very attentive. highly recommended. genuine Mexican food. wow.
The place is really nicely decoracted and pretty and it was clean except for the flies that were flying around our table and the dead flies stuck to the windows. I wouldn't go back, the food was not good. My sister and I ordered enchiladas suizas which were not enchiladas suizas. They were basically entomatadas in a green sauce, the same sauce they give you with chips. Which is fine except the sauce for enchiladas suizas is supposed to have crema, heavy cream or cream cheese added to the tomatillo sauce this one did not, and the shredded cheese was not melted. The rice was also bad. My mom ordered a milanesa de carne and it was not enjoyable whatsoever. It had a heavy taste of old frying oil and the texture was off. The charro beans were very tasty though, those we liked. Another thing was that only one of us was served on an actual plate, the enchiladas came on a paper plate and we had plastic forks and knives. That's not such a horrible thing I know, but for a place like this we expected something different. The service I'd rate a 6, not bad but not great either. I don't know if the owners for this location are the same ones for the old location that was on Conway, but after dining here I don't think they are, I remember the food so different before, I loved the food at the old location. I'd like to try the breakfast food though, maybe that's better than lunch and dinner.
