Riverside Cafe - Palmetto

My wife and I really love this place. When we were dating we'd come here on a regular basis for dinner because it was quiet and peaceful. Sometimes there's a guy playing his guitar and singing, and that's always nice. The food is consistently good and the price is very fair for the amount of food that you receive. Additionally, they have a varied enough menu that even if you're not in the mood for something you normally get, there are plenty of other options and you'll probably find something appetizing. We actually ended up having our rehearsal dinner here the night before we got married, and the owner did a really great job at making sure all of our needs were met. He created a custom menu for us based on the price range we want to pay per head and dedicated a waitress to our area so that we'd have quick service. Once you're done with lunch or dinner, it's nice to talk a walk around the marina and look at the boats. Note that there are a lot of folks that live on their boats at the marina, so when you're wandering, be respectful of people's privacy (don't stare). All in all, this is a fantastic place to have a meal and we'll be back every time we're in the area.

Hey the only reason I left one star was for the polite waitress. I bought the 18.95 seafood platter. All of the meat was frozen, boxed mashed potatoes. The carrots were literally from a bag at Walmart. I am disgusted. The chef wasn't even 25 years old. Had the audacity to stick his neck out before we left. Well hey buddy I posted a picture of your master piece!

Go elsewhere. While the view is nice, the food sucks. My Greek salad was a pile of pale lettuce with one slice of tomato, cucumber, and an olive. The crab cake was soggy and watery.

We've been here a couple of times. Three stars because the food is pretty good. Shrimp cocktail is excellent,especially for the price. Flaming cheese also was very good. The downside; after appetizers, table wasn't cleared before main course. Requests very slow response. So grade for service maybe 2 stars However, only 1 waitress for too many tables. Maybe management should pay attention to the needs of the customers a little closer. Ultimately, the waitress pays the price with smaller tips.

The food is decent, service is terrible, the owners are nice, however the overall dinning experience needs to be improved upon. The inside dinning room needs improvement and repairs done. The outside patio needs an update board wise I felt like I was going to fall through. There weekly entertainment needs improvement because the local artists they invite in do not sing that well. Finally food wait times for a Cafe need to be quicker. Come on they call themselves a Cafe and I have had previously had wait times up to an hour.
