Kostas Family - Palmetto

This restaurant has been sold and is no longer a Greek diner. It is now called Burger and Pancake House.

The soup was decent, not the best I've ever had, but the salad was fantastic. The lettuce was crisp and refreshing. Both the soup and salad came with crackers and warm rolls. When you break open a roll, a delightful scent of yeast wafts up. They were slightly warm, delicious, and had a hint of sweetness, almost like honey. Beware of these rolls—they're dangerously good, and I find myself wanting another one right now! The Salisbury Steak was very tasty, tender and smothered in mushroom gravy. The mashed potatoes were hearty and topped with gravy; they were enjoyable but a bit dry. As for my Hot Roast Beef open-faced Sandwich, it was just okay. I believe it might have been served on sourdough bread, as it had a slight sour flavor. Also, I may be in the minority here, but I’m not a fan of bacon mixed with green beans. One concern I had was that it seemed few people were wearing masks. I did spot one young man wearing his mask under his nose. However, they do provide hand sanitizer at the front counter. Overall, I would definitely consider returning to Kostas, as the service was excellent and the atmosphere felt homely, with comforting food that always hits the spot!

I've enjoyed both lunch and breakfast at this restaurant, and it has always been excellent. This morning, they were short-staffed, so things moved a bit slowly, but the two waitresses present were working incredibly hard. Despite the hustle, they remained friendly and polite. Their lemon chicken soup is absolutely to die for. The location is also very convenient, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal there.

Went to Kostas family restaurant on a recommendation on 1/8/21 three menu items were out, and the worst thing was the waitress was NOT wearing a mask. Will never return as they have no regard for safety of their customers.

Love love love this place. Eaten there for frequently. Best Reuben sandwich I have ever had. Sweet potato fries and fish fingers are winners. Service is superior, great casual clean environment. I'm a regular and don't foresee it will ever change. My fav!
