Muffin Break, The Plaza

Food mediocre, couldn't cut through panini, club sandwich had stale crusts. At least coffee was good.

Ordered a hotchoclote for me and my daughter there were lipstick marks on it when I got it took it back the lady at the counter was brushing it off like it's nothing same happened to my daughter's cup also dirty by the looks of it they don't wash the cups properly. This was our favorite place to have a nice muffin and a coffee I will never go there again.

Quick afternoon tea visit for a hungry toddler, cabinet food was a bit lacking, which isn’t uncommon anywhere in afternoons. Service was fast but literally felt like I had seriously inconvenienced the server by asking for my muffin warmed up, it was plonked on a plate, no butter, no knife. The tables weren’t wiped, and there was a fair amount of crud on the ground. The muffins were quite yum having said all that though

I love the muffins and coffee but that’s about it. The service and attitude really lacks. There was one instances where, the name of the muffin was wrong it said mocha but was chocolate chip. Which isn’t the issue. But when I asked for the mocha muffin the staff serving me said that they don’t have that muffin. I asked what the type of muffin it was then and she told me she didn’t know. She didn’t both to ask someone else what the muffin was. Another staff member ended up coming up and letting me know what it was. If you’re unsure what the type of muffin it is, wouldn’t you go and ask someone else? The service and attitude is what really holds me back from buying a muffin and coffee.

Staff not friendly, white tea cups are brown, kitchen not clean and staff clothing dirty, not very pleasant when the server brings the food to the table. Toastie given on a plate that had chocolate from the previous order stuck on the plate, check the plates and cups before you pack them away after unpacking the dishwasher. Windows and windowsills dirty, full of food and crumbs.
