Burgerfuel Palmerston North

Have never really minded driving across town and paying the premium price of burger fuel fries and burgers. Because they usually are premium chips and burgers. However tonight's fries were soggy and completely substandard, and the burger also appears to have be assembled under water. New owners or management recently?

Yesterday I ordered for my family as it was my birthday I was supposed to get a free burger for VIB birthday according to my email. After ordering they then declare I was only getting the cheaper burger for free which was for my young daughter. So my burger of $15 was not free. Only my daughters was. Hers was $7. This was very important to let the customer know in advance not when there's a line of people behind making you feel obliged due to the wait. Not wanting to cancel and start over. As if I knew what I would of done was paid for my kids meals separately. Ended up still paying $45! That's without drinks as with drinks would of been an additional $5pp adding to $60. Not a cheap birthday present for me and my kids after all. Highly disappointed. The food on the other hand was well made and nicely presented. Tasty, so I guess that makes up for something but not good customer service on honesty. Please be up front sooner. There is nothing to state what you said in store on the email. Our burgers were absolute flavor bombs! We loved the buns and the fresh taste of the patties and vegetables. The clever, eco-friendly packaging allows you to hold the burger and eat without too much mess. My daughter said her caramel milkshake was the best milkshake she had ever had. The ‘Most’ organic soda juices are also a recommended choice. Yes it was more pricey than what we usually pay for burgers but well worth the cost on our opinion. Staff were fairly efficient but a more person connection with us as customers would have made me give the 5 stars.

The staff were friendly and helpful but found the food and drinks expensive. The burgers were big (which I expected for the price) and filling. I felt that for customers dining in plates should have been available. A 330 ml bottle of coke is $5 and the eggs were about an extra $3.

Kumura fries were old and looked like they had been cooked 3 times. They actually had grey bits on them. Quite tasteless. The burgers didn’t seem to be as tasty either. Very pricey. The fries particularly. Might go somewhere else next time we want to not cook a meal.
