Speedtrap - Palmer Lake
Speedtrap
Description
Nestled in the scenic Palmer Lake, the restaurant offers a blend of cozy ambiance and rustic charm, making it a noteworthy stop for breakfast and coffee. While many patrons rave about the friendly service and delightful coffee options, experiences can vary significantly. Some dishes, like the quiche, missed the mark, raising concerns about food preparation and seasoning. Despite occasional service hiccups and a dusty atmosphere, diners appreciate the homemade pastries and vibrant setting, often encouraging return visits for their renowned French toast and breakfast creations. Overall, this eclectic spot captures the charm of local dining, with a few rough edges.

I don't believe in exploiting musicians for profit while giving them nothing in return, and I find it troubling that some take pride in doing so.
Stumbled across the Speed Trap during a work trip to Colorado Springs. The location was very unique and I loved the drive into Palmer Lake. Service was ok. The server had several customers and she was doing her best for sure. The menu was very dirty gritty. I ordered the bacon, egg, scallion quiche it reminded me of a pot pie that was microwaved. I wasn't overly impressed with the quiche. My coworker ordered the French Toast...it looked absolutely delicious. Next I'm trying the French toast. Hoping to update my review during my next visit.
Absolutely the worst breakfast I have ever had, and it took 40 mins to arrive! Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
