What justalittlestar doesn't like about Fron Son Ferriol:
Pros: Great location and ample outside seating Broad selection of fresh sandwiches and pastries Some friendly servers Cons: It is not made clear that if you actually want to eat there, you need to sit outside and wait for the server (just one and they are very busy) to come to you to take your order The café is very busy with only a few members of staff, we were waiting up to 15 minutes just to order and another 15 2... First off, the pastries and sandwiches are wonderful. Lots to choose from!! Great location on Plaza Espana. You can eat inside or outside and people watch. BUT...they are very poorly organized which can cause frustration and **** you off if you're a visitor and don't know the process. You see, they have dozens and dozens of items to choose from, all tempting you from their display case. NONE of which, however, have a NAME or a PRICE. If you go to the cash register to order, they will ask you if you want it to go or eat there. If you want to eat there, then they expect you to order from a server roaming about. Problem is....if you're at a table in the tented outdoor area, you have NO CLUE what to tell the server you want because there is NO MENU, NO NAMES on the pastries in the display case, and NO PRICES!!! So, you have to get up out of your chair and walk over to the display case and point to the items you want. What you SHOULD be able to do is.....walk inside, point to what you want to the cashier, pay for it, then either carry it out to your table or tell them what table you're at so they can bring it to you. So simple, but nooooooooo!!!! I only go there because it's close to my apartment, the food is decent, the price is fair, and I like sitting outdoors to watch the people pass by. But, every time I go there, I get pissed off at their stupid process!!!
We popped in for a coffee (should I say Caffè con leche?? As we strolled through the town. They had lovely looking cakes in the window. There is seating outside inside. The outside seats are table service only. Seemed clean and staff spoke English which was helpful for us.
Our first stop for a snack in Palma. Great choice of sweet and sour snacks, we also got one free. But it is not the cheapest place and the interior isn't the nicest. In a rainy day after a long flight, it's a nice to place to rest because it is right away from main bus station in a quite street. But if you are not that tired, you will find better ones.
Popped in for breakfast. 3 of us ordered one order came, other 2 forgotten, had to remind them. Salad 'English breakfast ' came after reminding them. Food disgusting tasteless. Wouldn 't go again !!!
