Contribute FeedbackNow my second time here, great food, oysters to die for. great fish. a place to enjoy your friends the food.
Fabrizio his lovely wife, have now opened a restaurant right across the market in which they have been serving for 8 years fresh crab, oysters,. The name remains, Ca S,Ostra, and so does the quality of the merchandise. the menu is exceptional in the variety. Working on a yachting magazine we have always Owners, Captains crew, that need somewhere differnet. None of us were dissapointed it was exceptional. A very brave team indeed in these funny times. Go and Try It.
I've been to Ca S'ostra a few times now and prefer it as a local alternative to the crazy busy Mercat D'oliver. They do all the usual shell fish but the locals by other fish from nearby stalls and the lovely ladies at Ca S'ostra will cook them there and then. Very good value very authentic experience very nice way to spend lunch!
Charming place to eat fresh fish either available on-site or buy/bring your own and get them cooked by the lovely ladies who work here
When in the Mercat de Santa Catalina and an longing for fresh seafood comes up, call in at Ca s'Ostra for a few freshly shucked oysters from Galicia! We sampled them against the Belons and found the Galicians to be more delicate. Nice spice mussels on the half shell, too. The scallops were bland. Decent glass of white wine is served. And when in need of sushi, just lean to the side and order some from the neighbouring stand and eat it all on the spot.
