This was my first visit to The Parker and the food by Norma. If you're a fan of Mid-Century Modern design, it's absolutely a must-see. We parked on the road outside the hotel and arrived on Monday at 3 p.m. Upon arrival, we were informed that reservations were required, but we quickly secured a table while waiting outside. The outdoor terrace is absolutely stunning—I loved it! The food presentation was delightful, an... View all feedback.
What Chunk C doesn't like about Norma's:
Our brunch experience was extremely disappointing. We waited nearly 10 minutes just to be greeted. After being at the restaurant for an hour, we finally received our food. We were... View all feedback.
Not only was this the worst meal I’ve ever had in Palm Springs, it was probably the worst meal I’ve had in years. First, you make a reservation through an app, which costs $30. This is fine and something I’m used to, but I have always seen this go towards the bill, at this restaurant it does not. We ordered the tuna burger, which had a pretty grandiose description for something that was ultimately unseasoned canned Tuna on a soggy bun with zero other toppings or sauces. Not once were we asked how our food was. Even when the manager took away the burger with two bites taken out, he didn’t inquire whether we enjoyed our food. It was only after I had decided that this wasn’t even worth taking to give to the local street dogs that the server took it off the bill. This was 1hour and 45minutes after we had arrived and about the 3rd time we had seen him. My girlfriends drink was taken away when it was about half full as our food arrived, and the server never came around again to ask if she wanted another. I remember this place being excellent, but with bland food and brutal service this was about as close to a 0/10 as you can get.
Norma is a must-visit for Sunday brunch. The terrace seating is a fantastic option, providing shade on sunny desert days. The portion sizes are generous, and the staff is exceptional—extremely attentive, which enhances the overall experience. The drinks are carefully crafted with a touch of love, and they often feature some signature cocktails that are sure to delight your palate.
Best Donuts I ever had another meal. The disadvantage is if you are not a guest, the parking service is $12 and you cannot visit the rest of the hotel.
Norma's is an informal indoor/outdoor restaurant. The historic Parker Hotel has a fun decor but it is still a serene oasis. The food was good. Service was very accommodating. Valet parking was pricey at $12 when the property was quite empty.
Norma's is amazing. Great service, eclectic, great photo ops, great food, long-standing history as one of the best brunch spots in Palm Springs.
