Excellent as usual. Bar Cecil never disappoints. We love bringing out of town guests here. The ever changing menu using seasonal ingredients gives variety to our ding experience. Tony, our waiter was very efficient and tended to our every need.
We ate there on a Saturday night and got seated in the bar. Overall the meal was good but we felt rushed. We had a 615 reservation, arrived on time and could tell they were anxious to turn our table. The artichokes that we ordered were very good I had the soul which I thought was good. My friend had vegan lasagna and she said it was good.
Fantastic place. Visiting from the East Coast I don 't say fantastic lightly when describing a restaurant in California but so far, this has been the best restaurant I 've been to in the state. Food was fresh, delicious, and had individuality. The service was prompt without being too quick. Our waiter was a pleasure, full of life and personality. Drinks were great heavy pours I can appreciate that. To local Californians, sorry for the candor on quality of your restaurants, but to those visiting from out east (especially the Northeast and especially if you have visited the state before), take my word that this place is worth getting that 'highly sought after ' reservation when in comparison to other places. I wish I ate here each night I was in Palm Springs. Get the reservation, you won 't regret it. Plus the cost was HELLA reasonable for what you get!!!
The food and ambiance were outstanding. However, the person bussing the table was removing plates of those finished while others were dining and in the final clear took a plate while someone was actually still eating. I will be very honest it felt rushed and was not at all a level of service one expects from a Michelin Guide restaurant. That said, the cocktails were exceptional, as was the food. The steak tartar was one of the best I have ever had
