Our first time at The Fix! Great experience! The food, service and ambiance was wonderful! Our waiter Hector was outstanding as was George! From beginning to end we were smiling! Hector even welcomed us back and told us about the prime rib on Thursdays! We will most definitely be back! View all feedback.
What Lindsay Hajas doesn't like about The Fix On El Paseo:
I had the seabass $32). The fish was over cooked and mushy with no flavor. My guess the fish was frozen and not fresh. The mashed potatoes were something you would get from a high school cafeteria. They were literally scooped out with an ice cream scoop. They may have been instant potatoes. My husband had the wedge salad $15) and it was beyond small. I will never be back. Met friends for the happy hour! The patio is comfortable and nice you can sit there for happy hour. The service was slow, we waited for drinks and were never asked if we wanted another! The Chicago Hot dog was very good but the tuna is a very small portion. We were hoping to hit another happy hour but ran out of time even though we arrived at 3:30 and left at 6:00. They were very understaffed!
Atmosphere was wonderful. Our waiter was nice, but never there and when our taco salads arrived we were almost through before we both cut a piece of meat open to discover it was raw. Spoke to the busboy who said oh yeah and walked away.....wow!
Had dinner on the patio for a birthday celebration. This was my first time there for dinner and it was delicious. The menu has a lot of variety- we had Brussels sprouts and calamari as appetizers. Entrees were chicken Marsala, pasta bolognese, short ribs- I forgot the fourth one. All we tasty and they were accommodating with a few special requests. A birthday dessert of a brownie and ice cream and a happy birthday song from the guitar player made it a great night. Looking forward to going back when they reopen for dinner in the fall.
The food was incredible, service very friendly and the atmosphere is lovely! Don’t go anywhere else for brunch when visiting El Paseo, you won’t be sorry!
