OMG! Love this place! One of the top 5 sandwiches I've had in 43 years and hands down the best sandwich place this side of the valley.... This was my first experience. I ordered the Monster Italian on Dutch Crunch bread. Sorry ate it too fast for a picture... View all feedback.
What Alfredo Gandara doesn't like about Monster Subs Palm Desert:
If your in a hurry DO NOT GO HERE.This was a great place and delicious food when previous owners had it. I guess new owner doesn’t want to hire help. 1st, they absolutely never answer the phone between the hours of 11:30-1:00pm. Considering all the employees move at the speed of a snail, they are certainly not going to answer a phone. Multitasking is not one of their specialties. 2nd the sandwiches are now Hit Or Mis... Its like each employee has their own method. Try our better going to subway where they are fast and you know what your getting.Good luck.
Food: 7/10 Service: 5/10 Portion size: small/medium Value: 8/10 Wait time: no wait on a Tuesday at 4:30pm First time coming and was craving a sandwich! We tried the Hungry Monster and Monster Ruben sandwiches and asked for a cup for water and got charged for it without the cashier telling us it would be $2.50 for tap water). : The sandwiches were good but on the smaller side. Hubby and I could have probably shared 3 together. The Hungry Monster was our favorite out of the two but a little dry. It had pastrami, roast beef and salami. It came with an aolie sauce. It had good flavor though with the banana peppers! The Monster Ruben was good too but wheb you compare the two we liked the Hungry Monster more. This sandwich had sauerkraut, cheese, and pastrami in it. Overall it wasn't bad. I just wish there was a little more meat in each sandwich and that the cashier would have told me that she was going to charge me for the water.
Pretty basic pre packaged heat and serve sandwich, no need for a second visit
UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP, DISREGARD ANY REVIEW BEFORE THE LAST WEEK.Monster subs was my favorite sandwich place in town and although their sandwiches are a little bit pricier it was always worth it for the fresh Dutch crunch bread they offered and the quality of their sandwiches. I called in before for a pick up order, they sounded like they could do it no problem. I came in thirty minutes after I called and they still hadn’t started to make my sandwiches. It was a complete new staff and they were wearing aprons with another sandwich places branding. They were out of a lot of their ingredients and were still using the monster subs menu and prices without the freshness or the right ingredients. They started to mix the two orders into one sandwich and I had to correct them many times. Then, they used the meat that they put on the other sandwich and left it with Mayo on it in a pile and went ahead and put it on the one it was suppose to go on, if there was an allergy due to the Mayo that would of been a bad move for them. They didn’t ask if they could reuse the meat either, and I would of preferred they didn’t because the sandwich was for my boss and he hates Mayo. After almost twenty minutes into the sandwich shop I was finally able to leave. When I ate the sandwich it was the most stale bread I’ve ever been served. The old owners use to make sure they served their freshest pieces of bread and it really showed their care towards their customers, they will be missed! I would suggest any other sandwich place in Palm desert now because this sandwich place went from #1 to the worst in the valley.
It 's true what people have been saying about this is better than subway, but in my own opinion I think jimmy John 's is much better for the value and taste wise. This place was throwing off vibes that it wants to be a diner in the 50s but lacks the chrome. ?Me and my girl both went in to get sandwiches I got the monster ginder and my girl made custom sandwich.I don 't know this place has its dairy license since they do own Taylor machines yogurt machines I didn 't have the heart to ask but it would make me feel better if I saw the license on displayI 'm open to come back if the food didn 't make me sick ?
