This was disa... read more In September 2021, I had to adjust my rating from 5 stars to 4 because both ribs in my Sandy's Best order were unfortunately overcooked and burnt. This was disappointing, as I had never encountered any issues with my previous orders. Moving forward, I will be sure to check my orders before leaving. I’ve attached photos that show the clear difference between this meal and two earlier ones. Back in March 2021, we ordered the Ultimate Wicked Wahine Combo, which included 4 spare ribs, 1/2 lb. chicken, 1/2 lb. sliced grilled beef, 4 Maui Wowie wings, fried rice, mac salad, and slaw, along with egg rolls as an appetizer. The ribs, beef, teriyaki chicken, and egg rolls were standout favorites for us. The fried rice paired well with everything, though we weren’t very impressed with the side salads.

They are sweet, savory, and wonderfully crunchy! I also got the teriyaki chicken plate, which came with hearty portions and a tasty teriyaki sauce. If you haven't been here yet, I strongly recommend checking it out!

I didn't realize there were local options, so I was thrilled when my husband surprised me with a visit to this restaurant. OH MY GOSH!!! I’m so glad he did! The customer service was outstanding (thank you, Luke!), and the food was absolutely incredible! It truly captured the authentic flavors of Hawaii—it felt like I was back on the islands! Their recipes are passed down through generations, and they definitely do them justice. I will definitely be coming back... again and again! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Hawaiian pulled pork, mouth-watering ribs, or genuine Hawaiian marinated chicken! The fried rice was also exceptional! Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the portion sizes—they were HUGE! We ordered the dinner for two, and it was enough to feed four! Thank you again, Hula's! We’ll be back soon! I was thrilled to discover this place to share with my wife, especially since there's no L&L BBQ nearby. And the pineapple tea? It's an incredible drink—definitely get the free refills! We wanted a taste of Hawaii and Hula's delivers! Staff is aloha friendly, authentic, so real and caring. Excellent service from beginning to end. Ordered Wicked Wahine platter. So much food, so flavorful, the real McCoy. Longed for a Hawaiian macaroni salad. It is splendid. Also, the decor is like being right there on the island. We are so pleased with our experience at Hula's. It's a little bit of Hawaii right here in Palm Desert. We wish Hula's ohana long and prosperous life. Onolicious!

Food was good and service was like being w... read more The first time I went to Hulas, we were waited on by a very nice older gentleman who definitely had the Aloha spirit. Food was good and service was like being with family. The second time we went to Hula's we were waited on by a womanwho looked like she was maybe an owner, also very nice and treated us like family. Food was good, my favorite dish was the ribs, and we enjoyed how kind she was to everyone in the restaurant. The third and fourth times we went, we were met with a younger guy who was, to put it bluntly, RUDE. On the 4th visit I questioned the price of one of the dishes because the price was different on-line. He was very curt with me. Not appreciated. He was nice when he saw I was looking up their reviews on-line. I go out to eat for the experience, for great food and good service. Not to mention that I drive across the valley to eat at your establishment. And to be honest, your food isn't that good to where I'll put up with rude service. So now I make ribs at home, they're delicious and the service is great ! Thanks for another lesson on eating in the Coachella valley.
