Excellent food with fantastic service. It's an odd building/setting but the ambiance is nice. Doesn't feel very high end visually but the prices and the flavors are definitely high end ? View all feedback.
What PINKYJ doesn't like about Cuistot:
Food and service was exceptional and the atmosphere very welcoming. However, the owner insults his patrons who bring their own cellard wine by charging an outrageous corkage fee of $40.00. If he thinks this fee will cause us to purchase wine from him he is dreaming. View all feedback.
Food was excellent, the ambience was also special but the service while attentive was a bit slow.
Before going to Cuistot we had read a number of very good reviews; our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. We had an array of dinner dishes and found most to be exceptionally good. We both agreed that the crab cakes were fresh and exquisite, and both the wild mushrooms and the ginger carrot soups were delicious without being overwhelming. For the main courses we ordered the salmon and the sea bass and we both agreed that we had made the right choice. The big surprise was the desert, it was a Tarte Tatin made to perfection. Our waitress was caring and attentive and we appreciated her service.
My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at Cuistot just before they closed for the summer. Despite our concerns about a possible drop in quality, we were pleasantly surprised. Every dish was intricate, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. The service was excellent. This restaurant is the perfect choice for a special occasion.
Perfect for celebrating a birthday or anniversary, but not somewhere we would visit regularly.
Our waiter Dan made our evening perfect. The food was some of the best we've ever had. The escargot was delicious, much better than anything we've ever had in Paris, France.
