What Judy Simmermon doesn't like about Castelli's:
The staff are always super helpful and very, very attentive and nice. My meal was not good at all, however. I ordered the filetto al marsala. They mixed tomatoe into the marsala sauce. Completely ruined my $58 filet mignon. I took 2 bites and just brought it home. They think people are dumb and we dont know better. The main waiter kept looking at me because he knew it was wrong. We happened to stumble on this jewel and I'm so glad we did. The ambience is great. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and funny. They helped me choose a delicious wine and even helped us with the menu choices. We started the Eskargot. Absolutely delicious!! I love the creamy sauce with the crisp bread and the perfectly cooked escargot. The lobster was fantastic with a Dijan sauce. Unbelievable! Lobster ravioli was great, but I must mention the amazing bread. They bring a basket with the meal and it is very good. We had no reservations, but they were happy to let us sit at the bar. I even had jeans. What a treat. I recommend this jewel to anyone who wants real Italians. I wish I could have tried desert, but I was full.
I went with 4 children and the server David was fabulous. He treated her like everyone else. Some places look at children. He was amazing, knowledgeable, funny, friendly and not to mention good look. My children loved him. The food was amazing. My son swallowed the 1/2 pound of crabbon. The garlic bread was so delicious and the Tiramisu was dying. Excellent atmosphere and music. Fantastic food and service. I would recommend everyone. Can't wait to come back and visit the desert on our next trip.
Total class, ultimate service, excellent food. What a great mood the place has. From live piano music in the bar to friendly and professional staff. We make it a point to make our Christmas evening dinner reservations good in advance. We didn't want to miss. Thanks Castelli’s!
I go every time I'm in the desert. Great mood (live piano/singer is really nice), excellent food and service. I stole my Bf and his mother last night, her first time. Both loved it. Garlic bread should die.
Our first time, thoroughly impressed by perfect fettuccini, lobster tails, lobster ravioli! And, the garlic bread, so good! Our waiter, Tony, was very attentive! Nice evening indeed.
